As a parent, it can be tough keeping up with our kids' online lives.  Special Constable Karen Markus of the South Simcoe Police is here to help!  

She'll guide you through the social media tools your kids are using and give you tips on how to ensure your children's safety.  For parents who'd like hands-on help, library staff will provide a follow-up workshop to teach you the ins and outs of Twitter and Instagram.

Izzy and Kyle were hanging out at the Cookstown Branch Hack Lab and decided that they wanted to try something new.  We carefully removed the cutting blade off of our vinyl cutter and replaced it with a permanent marker.  Then Izzy and Kyle used the CutStudio software to design a poster in the same way that most users use it to design a vinyl decal.  The results were fantastic and both of them were quickly off to the photocopier to make copies of their new creations!
